Album Review: Sha Stimuli-My Soul To Keep 4 out of 5 stars
By NailzBuck50

What can we say, we had to keep it 100 and this album is the real deal. No paid advertisements just straight up honest truth. We have been following Sha Stimuli for a few years now. From the 12 mixtapes he did with DJ Victorious, which were damn good albums by the way, to him showing up on BET’s the deal just as recent as two weeks ago. I’m really surprised he did not make BET’s the cipher but then again no not really. Sha may have put out his first album out independently but he is definitely not new to the music scene. Read why we gave him 4 stars below.

I’ll say this first…this is a good album….a damn good album. I first heard of Sha Stimuli a few years ago when my peoples came down from Ny and I was like “aiight. dude is nice” So I made sure to keep my ear out for him throughout the years cause I know he’d be somewhere in hip hop. I couldn’t tell you exactly where, but somewhere.
Hang On starts off with A young Stimuli rhyming and slowly progresses into the emcee he is now, “All I need is a homegirl, friend, lover, now I’m off in my own world, learn from my brother. I remember it was just him, granny, mom, and me. Now this year, I’m a grammy nominee”
He also shows his comedic side with “The Smelly Cat Song” which should be self explanitory. It’s almost good to see an artist have fun with a song now a days. You rarely see it done anymore. I couldn’t stop laughing as he was trying to weasel his way out of dealing with shorty “I said I’m really sorry, I feel so wrong, but my girl keeps calling I mean…I got studio I mean…I got a meeting I mean..I can’t do it Yo. She smelled putrid……”
I Believe with whirly organs, high pitched pianos, and live choir, the production on the album reaches it’s height. Sha speaks on his trust in an higher power to guide him in the right direction. Additional sick songs such as “What’s Wrong”, “Blasphemy”, and “Sometimes” shows how well rounded and polished an emcee he is.
I like this album so much because it’s just a damn good album. Not a bunch of skits, no super cinematic backdrops, and no super producer and superstar emcee stuffed album. Just a great album from an up and coming emcee with a promising career.
Make sure you log on to Itunes and cop Sha’s album, album just dropped on October 27th.

Swazy Baby should be commended. While other up and coming artists are busy trying to bury their underground past, Swazy Baby continues to capitalize on his. And why not? It was using mixtapes as a way to build his buzz up intially, Swazy caught the eye of Bigga Rankin.
Clicking up with B-Rich and TJ Chapman, B.o.B was able to turn his underground success into a deal with Atlantic Records. After a slew of critically acclaimed mixtapes, cross-country tours and commercial placements B.o.B still has that spark in his eyes and energy in his voice that he did when I first saw him on stage.
The 90’s was great era for hip-hop but it was equally great for R&B. Many acts have come and go since then, but the foursome of Jagged Edge has seemed to have staying power. Since their dropping their debut single "The Way That You Talk" back in 1997, JE has been a regular site on the R&B scene.
C-Ride is used to the spotlight, even if you’re not used to his name yet. The Florida representor has been a staple of the Epidemic Music/Polo Grounds team for years now. After making a name for himself on the underground, he’s ready to make his presence known in the mainstream.
"I aint never left the scene! I’m always grinding." Bold words like that are normally served for underground artists still trying to get their buzz up. You wouldn't expect an artists who has signed to major deals, posted hit records and has sold units to still speak about grinding it out. But Yo Gotti isn't the average artist
