Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys are apparently engaged according to US Magazine, Alicia Keys had a lot to smile about on her 29th birthday Jan. 25: an engagement ring from her producer beau, Swizz Beatz!
A pal tells UsMagazine.com that Beatz, 31 (who is currently divorcing wife Mashonda), proposed with a 7-carat sparkler right before her big day; the happy couple were photographed strolling on a Hawaii beach the day of the proposal, Jan. 24.
Keys’ rep denies she is engaged, but another friend reveals, “They are currently in Hawaii celebrating the engagement and her birthday. She feels blessed.” Adds the pal: “She is thrilled. She is with the man who has inspired so much of her music and her new album [The Element of Freedom].”
Swizz is equally smitten with Keys. “What we have is so precious,” he gushed to the New York Daily News last year.

The YBF Reports Rihanna’s 7 year old fan Jasmina Amena, who Rih has been helping to find a bone marrow transplant for, died from her leukemia a few nights ago. Rihanna (as well as Kelly Rowland) has spent a lot of time with Jasmina over the past year, all to help her #1 fan through this rough time. Here’s the message that was posted on Jasmina’s Twitter account just a few hours ago:
At 10:55 on January 27th, after a long battle, Jasmina lost her fight with leukemia. Thanks for all of your support.
Back in November, Jasmina went to surprise Rihanna on her album release day at an in-store signing. She was diagnosed with leukemia in January of 2009. Such sad news. R.I.P. Jasmina.
President Barack Obama put out the following statement about Jasmina today as he recently met with her at the White House:
“It is with great sadness today that Michelle and I extend our condolences on the passing of Jasmina Anema. Jasmina showed tremendous bravery in the face of adversity, and her ability to stay positive throughout her battle was an inspiration to me and to all those she touched. As the parents of two young girls, our hearts particularly go out to Jasmina’s devoted mother Thea. Our thoughts and prayers are with her and with all who knew and loved Jasmina.”

Tisha Campbell-Martin’s sister (and allegedly Diamond Blue from Pretty Ricky’s baby mama) Tiara gave birth to a baby girl Sunday night (Jan 24), about 4 months shy of her original due date. Her sister Toya reached out to a blog site and was saying that stress caused Tiara to develop a condition related to high blood pressure, which forced doctors to go in and take the baby out in order to save both her and the baby. The child and mother is fine and she named the child Nina minaji??? Right! Diamond Blue Smith sure likes them hood doesn’t he?
