Well it looks like pimpin curly may have gotten himself into some trouble. The mother of Rick Ross’ daughter is suing 50 Cent for disseminating her private sex tape over the internet last year. I’m surprised she had not done this sooner. Lastonia Leviston processed her complaint yesterday (February 24) in Manhattan, alleging that 50 Cent used the tape without her permission, and has caused her to suffer “emotional distress.” More Below.
According to XXL the G-Unit General landed on The Billboard 200 this week at the no. 5 spot—his lowest debut since 2007’s Curtis came in at second place below Kanye West’s Graduation. As expected, the disc managed to sell 159,700 units, according to the Nielsen SoundScan, marking the first time that the rap superstar failed to go gold in his first week. This number includes two weeks of digital sales on iTunes.
We thought by now that 50cent would have changed up his formula by not beefing with artist’s that really have no relevance to his record sales or career for that matter. Those tactics were cute back in the Ja Rule days but those days are over. Hit’s Daily Double has projected that Fif may only sell 160,000 in the first week, which is the lowest sales he has ever had in a first week up to date.
I was wondering why Greg Street was sending out tweets about Fif being in Atlanta last night. 50cent made an appearance today at Macy’s to promote his new cologne ‘Power”. If anybody can pull that off it’s 50cent. Curtis says, “For me, power isn’t just something you learn on the street or in the boardroom — it’s a way of life.” In related news, 50 Cent’s new album, “Before I Self-Destruct” is expected to hit stores on November 16th. NEW YORK — For fans of New York hip-hop, it was an amazing sight: 50 Cent surrounded by not just the G-Unit, but D-Block, the Diplomats, Red Café, Cory Gunz, Maino and newcomer Trav. What a moment! On Saturday night, Fif held his first ThisIs50 Music Festival on Governors Island (a longtime military base in New York Harbor that is gradually being transformed into a public park), where some of his favorite artists converged on one stage.
50cent goes in on Jay-Z and calls him the coolest punk in the world on the Angie Martinez show. Not only that he even goes as far as to say that Kanye West is Gay and breaks down why Jay-Z is a punk. Some serious psychology with this guy. Listen to the audio below.
50 is a fool for this one. Here is a video of 50cent explaining why he went in to the hospital and he claims it was because he was listening to Fat Joes Music. Man can’t we just let bygones be bygones? At least Joe put out a record which is more then we can say for the new hip-hop comedian 50cent.

Stays Active Underground
Officially, 50 Cent just told MTV that Before I Self Destruct is now slated for a September 29 release, the last Tuesday of that month. But as we’ve become accustomed to, Fif can drop an album anytime he wants. A street album. 50 does what no other artist who has sold the amount of records or gained the mainstream fame he has will do: consistently give free product back to the core who launched his career. In just the last couple of weeks, he hit with two dope bodies of work, War Angel LP and Forever King, and is probably going to drop two more joints before the album comes out. Fif explained to us that he just can’t contain himself.
Swazy Baby should be commended. While other up and coming artists are busy trying to bury their underground past, Swazy Baby continues to capitalize on his. And why not? It was using mixtapes as a way to build his buzz up intially, Swazy caught the eye of Bigga Rankin.
Clicking up with B-Rich and TJ Chapman, B.o.B was able to turn his underground success into a deal with Atlantic Records. After a slew of critically acclaimed mixtapes, cross-country tours and commercial placements B.o.B still has that spark in his eyes and energy in his voice that he did when I first saw him on stage.
The 90’s was great era for hip-hop but it was equally great for R&B. Many acts have come and go since then, but the foursome of Jagged Edge has seemed to have staying power. Since their dropping their debut single "The Way That You Talk" back in 1997, JE has been a regular site on the R&B scene.
C-Ride is used to the spotlight, even if you’re not used to his name yet. The Florida representor has been a staple of the Epidemic Music/Polo Grounds team for years now. After making a name for himself on the underground, he’s ready to make his presence known in the mainstream.
"I aint never left the scene! I’m always grinding." Bold words like that are normally served for underground artists still trying to get their buzz up. You wouldn't expect an artists who has signed to major deals, posted hit records and has sold units to still speak about grinding it out. But Yo Gotti isn't the average artist
