Atlanta, GA (February 3, 2010) – The largest outdoor community outreach awareness festival and concert in the city of Atlanta deemed by State Representative Kathy Ashe and given its’ own House Resolution (1658) has partnered with The Spirit of Sweet Auburn. “We made the move to the Historic Sweet Auburn District in an attempt to bring awareness directly to the community. We felt this would help us bring in additional donations to all of the charities involved. We do this event to convey awareness to the community; this move allows us to drop the prices on everything from tickets to vendor booths. We aim to make the entire city AWARE. We do not want anyone to miss out on the AWARENESS messages because the ticket prices are too high, eventually A-TOWN DAY will be a free event for the city of Atlanta,” excitedly states the founder of A-Town Day, Brian Glasper.

Yep. According to The Advocate magazine, Atlanta rates as the nation’s gayest city, followed by Burlington, Vt., Iowa City, Bloomington and Madison, Wis. Don’t bother looking for San Francisco, New York or Los Angeles — those supposed gay meccas don’t even place in the rankings compiled by the nation’s oldest lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender publication.

According to the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Atlanta comedian Katt Williams was in jail Monday morning after being arrested and charged with burglary and criminal trespassing, a deputy at the Coweta County jail said.

I was wondering why Greg Street was sending out tweets about Fif being in Atlanta last night. 50cent made an appearance today at Macy’s to promote his new cologne ‘Power”. If anybody can pull that off it’s 50cent. Curtis says, “For me, power isn’t just something you learn on the street or in the boardroom — it’s a way of life.” In related news, 50 Cent’s new album, “Before I Self-Destruct” is expected to hit stores on November 16th. The Goodie Mob Reunion presented by Shameless Plug was a hip-hop lovers success. With special performances by the legendary Pastor Troy, The Young Bloods, DJ Kizzy Rock,with DJ Jelly rocking on the ones and twos. I don’t think they could have picked a better DJ to handle the type of show that represents Atlanta to the fullest.

Swazy Baby should be commended. While other up and coming artists are busy trying to bury their underground past, Swazy Baby continues to capitalize on his. And why not? It was using mixtapes as a way to build his buzz up intially, Swazy caught the eye of Bigga Rankin.
Clicking up with B-Rich and TJ Chapman, B.o.B was able to turn his underground success into a deal with Atlantic Records.After a slew of critically acclaimed mixtapes, cross-country tours and commercial placements B.o.B still has that spark in his eyes and energy in his voice that he did when I first saw him on stage.
The 90’s was great era for hip-hop but it was equally great for R&B. Many acts have come and go since then, but the foursome of Jagged Edge has seemed to have staying power. Since their dropping their debut single "The Way That You Talk" back in 1997, JE has been a regular site on the R&B scene. 
C-Ride is used to the spotlight, even if you’re not used to his name yet. The Florida representor has been a staple of the Epidemic Music/Polo Grounds team for years now. After making a name for himself on the underground, he’s ready to make his presence known in the mainstream.
"I aint never left the scene! I’m always grinding." Bold words like that are normally served for underground artists still trying to get their buzz up.
