DJ Premier will assist Heather B in ending an 8-year album drought by executive-producing her new LP, Open Bar. Heather B’s last project was 2002’s Eternal Affairs. With production from Pete Rock and DJ Premier, the album met with positive reviews despite not charting on Billboard.
It’s been ten long years since we have heard anything from the songstress but this album will be more then worth the wait according to fellow soul singer and Sony label mate Maxwell. He had heard some of the music from the album. “Trust me, it’s so monolithic it’ll shake you in your shoes!” he wrote on his private Facebook page.
